Circa 1820.The frosted gilt chain fusee movement with ornate chased and pierced cock and diamond endstone, verge escapement, a fine chain suspension operating the pedometer mechanism, gilt dust cap, the white enamel dial with eccentric Roman chapter ring and Arabic five minute marks, sweep centre seconds, subsidiary dials for 10, 100 and 1000 paces, gold hands, in gilt consular case, mounted in a gilt brass frame for suspension from the saddle with spring loaded casing for the watch, all with various engraved patterns.56 mm. watch case diam, 224 mm. frame length

  Descrizione : Ralph Gout, London, 336 signed and numbered gilt full plate movement signed 'By the King's Letter Patent' with pierced and engraved cock decorated with martial trophies and an urn and blued steel screws and set-up over plain circular pillars, signed enamel dial with concentric units to 100 and subsidiaries for 1-10 and 10-100, the Roman and arabic time dial set above the centre, in a heavy polished numbered case with specially adapted open bow to allow the connecting chain sufficient clearance 55mm.
