Can you enter it on JDE, I think there is a field called “provenance”?;Charles Arthur Posser was born in 1918 in the remote fishing village of Gaultois, Newfoundland, and was sailing as skipper aboard a fishing schooner plying the Grand Banks by the time he was seventeen. When World War II broke out, he joined the Newfoundland Commandos and travelled overseas. While participating in raids on Nazi bases in occupied Norway, Prosser was wounded, captured and briefly held as a prisoner of war before escaping and making his way to England. It was with the Commandos that he acquired his lifelong nickname of “Joe.”;Invalided out of the Commandos, Prosser enlisted in the Royal Navy where he served during World War II. He held the rank of Commander in the Royal Canadian Navy, was commissioned Captain in the United States Maritime Service and was awarded numerous military decorations.;After the war, Prosser served in several posts in England, Canada and the US, ending his career as the United States Merchant Marine Academy’s first Director of Waterfront Activities. He passed away at Kings Point on 18 April 1986.

Stainless steel bracelet with deployant clasp signed Rolex Lancée en 1958, la référence 5508 succède à la référence 6536/1, avec la profondeur marqué 100 m = 330ft, le boîtier sans épaulement (no crown guards) et sa nouvelle lunette subdivisée sur les 15 premières minutes. Les premiers cadrans se distinguent avec l'écriture à la fois de la mention Submariner et de la profondeur, à la fois en mètres et en pieds. Notre exemplaire est atypique avec ce petit point sur la graduation chemin de fer, en bas du cadran, formant un point d'exclamation (exclamation mark). Ce type de cadran n'a été produit que pendant une très courte période.
