Beautiful gilded bronze sculpture by Arman representing a cut out violin dating from 1972 and limited to 150 copies. The theme of the "Cut violin" is central to Arman, diverting manufactured objects by "accumulations" or "anger" (by breaking objects). This instrument which can no longer be used to play music takes on a new role here artistic and poetic.
