  Descripción : Whitehurst, Derby, the plate stamped Whitehust & Son The arched hood with simple concave moulding supported on turned columns over a moulded throat and mahogany band, the trunk door with canted corners flanked by reeded quarter columns, on a round-bottomed base, the signed silvered 13-inch dial with three subsidiaries, the uppermost entitled to its centre 'ENGINE TIME' with Roman numerals set over an identical subsidiary giving mean time, to the left is a dial with inner scale from 1-10 and an outer measuring 0-100, the weight driven movement with shouldered plates with four turned pillars and anchor escapement.152cm(5ft)long.

  Descripción : Signed around the edge of the barrel cap Whitehurst & Son, Derby 1833 the inverted Y-shaped frame united by three turned pillars with facetted limbs on turned supports to a rectangular plinth mounted with an ormolu ropetwist border and stylised leaf base, on a marble plinth, the engine turned gilt chapter ring with applied Roman numerals within a heavy cast acorn and leaf border, the single chain fusee movement with large six spoke great wheel and all other wheels of five spokes to an anchor escapement and mask pendulum bob, under a (replaced) glass dome 33cms. (13ins.) high
