  Description : Movement will just run but in need of a clean and overhaul. The striking train is fully wound and not operating at present. Dial with some small scratches and some minor/very small chips to the edge of the dial, small hairline to edge of dial between 3 and 4 o'clock, further small hairline above 2 o'clock. Inner case in good overall condition retaining clear engine turning and piercing. One small indentation to the pierced edge. The pendant stem appears to have a solder repair to it where it joins the case. Outer case apepars to be in good overall condition, there is some scratching to the central floral enamel panel and some minor scratching to some enamel panels.

A fine and large 18K varicolour gold pair case openface quarter repeating verge watch, made for the Turkish Market.Signed George Prior, London, No. 15'729, 1815.With gilt-finished verge movement, finely pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, chain fusée, quarter repeating onto a bell, the white enamel dial with Turkish numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, the inner case with pierced and engraved scroll and foliage decoration to the border, silent repeat push-piece in the band, the chased outer case with applied varicoloured gold foliage and floral decoration in high relief to the pierced bezel and rim, the back centred by an applied varicoloured gold stylised urn of flowers, repeating through the pendant, dial and movement signed, cases numbered, outer case stamped with casemaker's intials L.E and London date letter for 1815.60 mm. diam.
