Provenance: Fabrication suisse, réalisée sur commande du roi Farouk d'Egypte, cadeau diplomatique offert à un proche de la famille royale. A l'actuel propriétaire par sessions successives FINE LADY'S PLATINUM, DIAMOND AND EMERALD SET MANUAL WINDING WRISTWATCH. WITH GREEN ENAMEL. WITH BOX Le roi Farouk d'Egypte était un grand collectionneur d'objets d'art et d'horlogerie, notamment les montres de poche et montre bracelet des plus belles manufactures. Il appréciait particulièrement les pièces créées pour le marché Turc et le Moyen-Orient. Cette montre a été offerte par le roi à un proche de la famille royale égyptienne vers la fin des années 1930 / King Farouk of Egypt was a well established collector, particularly of small decorative objects. Among his extensive collection of objects of vertu, he also favored watches made for the Turkish or Far Eastern markets and was fond of modern watches, whether pocket or wristwatches, by the most prestigious makers. Whenever he had to present a gift, it would often be a watch, like this fine lady's wristwatch.

B 1015, movement no. 1015, sold on 8 November 1925 to His Majesty, King Fouad I of Egypt, for the amount of FF 3,688.Gilt-finished jewelled 8-day lever movement, silvered matte dial, Roman numerals, outer railway five minute divisions, light blue and coral enamelled silver spade hands, hump-back case with rounded top, front decorated with fine inlaid black enamel vertical stripes and a transversal ribbon of black, light blue and coral enamel floral and geometrical decoration in high relief, applied emblem of King Fouad I to the lower part, apertures for winding and regulating the movement and setting the time to the back, case numbered, dial signed and numbered, movement numbered.70 mm. high.Provenance.King Fouad I, father of King Farouk, was the first leader of modern independent Egypt.
