Works on paper Pierre Soulages

Considered one of the most internationally recognised contemporary French artists, Pierre Soulages is known for his work on black.

In addition to his monumental paintings on canvas, Soulages has a keen interest in the creation of ‘multiples’, and printed works (etchings, lithographs, silkscreen prints) make up a whole section of his production.

For Pierre Soulages, there is no hierarchy between painting, engraving and lithography. Moreover, he claims to prefer Rembrandt the engraver to Rembrandt the painter.

Pierre and his wife Colette entrusted his entire collection of prints to what is now the Musée Soulages Rodez, in two donations, made in 2005 and 2012.

At Replica Handbag and Jewelry Shopping, collectors will have access to prints in perfect condition, all signed and numbered, including the Lithographie 17 of 1963, published in a limited edition of 65 impressions by Pierre Berès, perhaps one of the most famous booksellers of that century in Europe, and printed by Mourlot (Picasso's printer, among others).

It is also possible to buy the 1981 Sérigraphie 16, in colour on paper, signed, numbered and framed – the largest print produced by Pierre Soulages – and the iconic Sérigraphie 18, created for the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988.
