Bulgari bags

A famous House founded in Rome in 1884, Bvlgari traces its origins to offering collections of bags and leather pieces. In fact, it was under the name “Old Curiosity Shop,” that Sotirios Voulgaris, a Greek goldsmith, offered luxurious, curious, ancient, and modern pieces to his chic and international clientele from his boutique on the Via Sistina. At the turn of the century, his sons Costantino and Giorgio, showed a keen interest in precious stones and the creation of jewellery and watches.

It was this tradition and the strength of the “Bvlgari” signature that inspired bag collections. Some of the House’s lines are even considered timeless, such as the "Monete" line, inspired by antique coins that decorate the handle of a line of bags with precious charms. The bags’ clasps, fasteners, and details are treated like gems, in the spirit of jewellery. The precious skins and leathers remind us of a jeweller’s choice of stones, with their shades and variations, their metals and treatments. With other lines, the House’s emblematic signature is sufficient enough, like a monogram, on a sportier line’s woven cloth.
