Robin, London between VII and V, and strike/silent lever above XII, the finely matted centre with ringed winding squares and a decorated chamfered date aperture, the movement with twin gut (now wire) fusees - the going side with short verge pendulum mounted on a knife edge, the strike with rack strike on a bell and repeating the quarters on a run of three bells and hammers, the backplate signed 'Fabin Robin, London' within a pattern of foliate scrolls (one pair of engraved scrolls transforming into a dogs/dragons heads) within a wheatear border.   Description : The movement is running at the time of cataloguing however the click for winding the barrel is not operating correctly. It is striking but the mechanism is a little slow. The dial has later painted baton indexes, the figures are operating. There is a scuff to the dial at the edge at the 3 o'clock position. There are some slight scuffs to the case but overall the engine-turning is in good condition.
