In 1919, the Parisian designer Louis Cartier was inspired by tanks which appeared in the First World War to market one of his flagship models: the Cartier Tank watch.

A legendary watch, its characteristics are the same as they have been since its launch: rail-track type chapter ring, Roman numerals, sword-shaped blued steel hands and sapphire crown.

The Louis Cartier Tank or L.C. is what can be called a timeless classic and, considering its price (+30% in 10 years!), a sound investment.

Louis Cartier and numerous well-known figures, such as Alain Delon made no mistake, proudly wearing the model, which came out in 1922. Its pure rectangular form with perpendicular sides, and very refined rounded edge and top of the lug, represents with extraordinary efficacy a conquest of the Art Deco aesthetic. It was in 1973 that the Louis Cartier came back into intense production and this time in two versions: mechanical and automatic. Nowadays it is worn by both women and men.
