Longines' iconic model, the Lindbergh watch created for the famous aviator and American pioneer Charles Lindbergh, embodies the spirit and the excellence of the famous Swiss watch manufacturer. In 1927, nicknamed "The Lone Eagle", he crossed the Atlantic Ocean on his plane, nonstop and solo, thus connecting New York to Paris in 33 hours and 30 minutes. The timekeeper of this legendary crossing, Longines became a legend. In 1931, Lindbergh designed a navigational instrument which he entrusted the implementation to Longines. This model, christened Lindbergh, facilitated the calculation of longitude to infer an accurate geographic position
