A regatta chronograph, the Rolex Yacht-Master II stands out on account of its countdown that can be programmed from 1 to 10 minutes and featuring a mechanical memory, which also makes it possible to synchronise the countdown on the fly to the nearest minute.

The watch features a 1/4 rotating bezel that makes it possible to programme the countdown and it therefore operates hand-in-hand with the watch mechanism. The programmable countdown can be read thanks to a central arrow-shaped hand that has a default set duration at reset.
