From 2003 onward, Louis Vuitton, under the direction of its artistic director Marc Jacobs, invited Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to reinterpret its iconic Monogram as part of an unprecedented creative and commercial collaboration. Murakami envisioned a vibrant, multicolored Monogram applied to the canvas of the house’s most iconic models.This encounter between contemporary art and the world of luxury leather goods became a true fashion phenomenon and achieved remarkable success. These creations were later reissued by Louis Vuitton in 2025 and are now especially highlighted in celebration of the 130th anniversary of the iconic LV Monogram.
